We celebrate our sense of each other

We watched the Corporation at the farm on Monday. A strong, smart, difficult documentary. Watch it. Think new things. I am.

I have been playing guitar for hours daily. I have been complaining for months now about needing a new hobby. I had one all along. Thankfully, TJ is gone a lot which means I have free access to his instrument.

We had a wonderful house meeting on Tuesday. Our house +. I'm not sure what to call it. We are going to do this more and I am so glad.

Sufjan Stevens changes everyones lives. I often selfishly wish I was the only one who felt this way. He speaks true things.
"Use my hands to use my heart.
Even if I died alone.
Even if I died
alone."

A birthday in photographs

So, here are the pictures (see previous post):

Driving around in TJ's dads mad awesome Mercedes SUV.

Steph and David being awesome and adorable at the birthday dinner at the birthday restaurant. They served us rock candy on sticks for our coffee. Delicious and fun!

This is the view from the elevator at about the 18th floor. We rode it several times. Better than six flags.

Then we took our picture in the window. A surprisingly good photo.

Jessica hid when the front desk brought us wine glasses.

Then we pushed the beds together!!!

Teddy and I relaxed while Jess set up the camera...

Then we all got settled...

And viola! Big Bed pictures!!

Then we watched TV, and drank wine, and played taboo (not pictured).

I think this first photo is a legitimate reaction to "Man vs. Wild" and the second is after we knew Jessica was taking pictures of us.

And that is the end!

Best of times

We celebrated Stephanies birthday in style. A night at the Hyatt, several bottles of wine, one big bed made of two pushed together in which we all slept, a roof top pool (and later a roof top star gaze), a nice dinner on the town, and several glorious rides in the glass elevator. What a good time. We got yelled at for not wearing shoes, and later TJ and David got in trouble for running the wrong way up the escalator (with no shoes). We f0und the door to the roof and Jessica mooned Dallas (its true!). Steph commented about how funny it is to be 25 and running around a four star hotel at two in the morning getting in trouble, but I think this is the best possible age to do these things. When else in your life are you more fully free? Right now. Right now is the time.

I think the bed was our favorite part. Jessica took pictures. I will put them up soon.

Its been a really rough and hard week... week and a half. But its done. My starbucks is gone, boxed and shipped, signs removed, lots of elbow grease and tears. I now work at another Starbucks and am maybe thinking I don't want to.

Recorded a song with Nick. I will get it so you can hear it sometime, maybe. It saved my sanity this week, I think. Great song.

We had our first house meeting before I had to rush off to work again. I love our house and, in the wise words of Justin Davis "I don't think Ellie is going to like working this much."

Start my job Nannying in a week and a half. This looks great and promising and great.

Now, we go to celebrate the wonderful, beautiful Stephanie Cole and I am so so so excited. Happy birthday, STEPH!!!

... nada mas.
